When it comes to cleaning your home you can often miss the little bits such as cleaning behind the sofa or washing your gym bag.
But have you thought about how to clean your electric toothbrush?
While cleaning our teeth is something we do without thinking what about the brush itself which can build up bacteria and germs?
Well, one person has asked the question: "How can I clean Oral B toothbrush??" on the online forum site Reddit.
They posted on the thread: "I have searched this sub and not found a similar issue.

"How can I clean the residue on top of the toothbrush?
"I’ve tried soaking it with sanitising tablets and water and cleaning it with a toothbrush but it’s too hard and won’t soften. Any ideas would be appreciated."
One person suggested: "Every time I change the toothbrush head I use the old one to scrub this part. You can even use toothpaste to clean it. If it's really stuck on there soak it in vinegar or isopropyl alcohol then do as I suggested. You can also use baking soda instead of toothpaste, especially effective after a vinegar soak."

Another added: "Try using a toothbrush to get all that gunk off."
A third said: "I shove it in the eye of a scrub mommy lol."
A user commented: "In the future take it off the base and rinse the inside out every time. I’ve had one for over a year and have hard water. It stays clean."
A fifth replied: "It is calcification. So something like vinegar will get rid of it. With the added benefit of the vinegar killing all the germs and disinfecting it without using harmful chemicals too."

Someone else commented: "I usually just grab a cloth with some warm water and twist it around a few times.
"That part doesn’t go in your mouth anyway so as long as you keep it relatively clean it won’t bother."
And finally, one person said: "I soak the top half in denture cleaner for a few hours then use an old manual toothbrush. This is a frustrating cleaning job. The base and charging unit also get smelly and crusted."
