Excellent care! After an overnight emergency clinic visit we followed up with this veterinary service for possible surgery since our own vet did not perform surgeries that day. Ivan was able to see us right away. After talking and examining x-rays they felt very confident that our pup would pass the powerade cap she ate whole. They did not want to perform an unnecessary surgery where the emergency hospital and our own vet had encouraged it. Ivan prescribed an oral lubricant and asked us to return the next day to follow up. The next day it had not passed. Additional x-rays were taken to compare and no distress was present so the decision was to give bland food over the weekend and the vet would call to check up on Monday. I feed the pup eggs and brown rice with plenty of olive oil. Monday, still no powerade cap. Vet wanted to do a barium test to see where cap was within the system, still not wanting to do unnecessary surgery so we scheduled for Wednesday. Tuesday afternoon the dog passed the cap, a full 8 days after ingesting it. I can't express how thankful we are for the wisdom and care we received at Ivan Animal Hospital. Had we listened to the emergency clinic or our own veterinarian we would have had an emergency surgery, costs and recovery to endure unnecessarily. I will be switching vets. Read Less

I have been taking my dog to a vet near to home. After feeling like I was not being heard; friends told me to go see Dr. Ivan. I had been to some of what everyone in the county had thought to be the best. Dr. Ivan actually got down on the floor with me and my dog when we were talking, and very much listened to my concerns; gave me options. She is the real deal, a down to earth intelligent hard working vet. Her staff was very pleasant and have worked to get me in the same day, that is major, to me. Very accommodating. Read Less

I have taken all of my pets to Ivan Animal Hospital in House Springs, MO. for a few years now. There have been sad times when I have had a pet euthanized for serious illness, worried times when I thought my most recent sick kitty would die and they pulled Charlie through. Every time they are sympathetic and caring. The kitty vet there also saved Charlie's punctured eye with a special technique she used, really great. And of course, there is Miss Molly. Dr. Ivan has cared for her since she was a little puppy. Molly loves her and is always happy to see Dr. Ivan. I would highly recommend her to anyone whose pet needs great veterinarian care. Overall, great visit , the only negative aspect was the front desk. When attempting to pay the 2 girls complete ignored that I was standing there and kept talking to each other along with another co-worker. Got an instant attitude vibe from one and they made it seemed as if I was an inconvenience for interrupting their gossip about previous pet owners who are customers that take their dogs there. Also, before I came, I looked up reviews and most of the negative ones were about the front desk and how poor the customers service was. I gave it a chance anyway and decided to go. Now, having experienced it for myself, I believe maybe the staff be more educated on how to approach customers. I used to take my other dog there before she passed about 5 years ago and the customer service was much better... Read Less

We love Ivan Animal Hospital and so does our dog! We have an Australian Shepard who is always skittish around new people but he has loved Dr. Tyrey since the moment he met her! She is one of the few people he is always excited to see and she takes such good care of him. She is also great with us and takes extra time to answer all of our questions about his health and behavior and gives great advice.This is also the one place we completely trust for grooming services. We live sort of far away but this is the one spot where we like to get his haircuts and nail trims done. The groomers work very well with shy dogs and he comes home looking great. Never had an issue with his nails cut too short here like we have at other places. Read Less

Went to Ivan Animal Hospital 2 weeks ago with my 3 year old ball python Apollo for a first degree thermal burn on his belly from a faulty heat rock to get a professional opinion on how his healing process was going. Dr Ivan was awesome with him and knew what to do to help the process along. She was very helpful and super nice and i will definitely be taking my pets there in the future. I highly reccomend her and her staff to anyone with an exotic animal or just a typical pet. I would pay any price to take care of my animals and the price of my visit was very affordable. Went in a few weeks ago for grooming asked if my pet could be looked at by vet, when my husband picked our dog up we were charged for services that we did not give permission to do I only asked for the vet to look at my dog not to perform unnessasary test. I feel that I was taken advantage of and way overcharged the communication skills of these doctors are very poor and all they care about is their pockets! I'd also like to note that I have had several friends tell me that they have wrote reviews on yelp and other websites only to get emails from review website that practice has requested it to be taken down and have had their reviews removed don't be deceived by this practice 4 star rating they take no fault in any wrong doing. Was billed for services on 07/25/2014 paid in full my portion that day. Recieved a call from collections 11/25/2016 and they are saying I owe them $72.55 for date of service 07/25/2014 for ivan animal hospital. They sent me to collections over two years later. No phone call or any mention I even owe them anything. Not to mention they gave my dog expired medications. Wow unbelievable! Please save yourself time and headache and stay away from these horrible people. Read Less

Love Dr Ivan and Dr Denoyers so much! We are a small breed dog rescue and have been with Dr Ivan since she was at another animal hospital. We were happy to follow her to her new space in 2007. Dr Ivan is one of those vets who seems to have a sixth sense with animals. The addition of Dr Denoyers has made IAH an even better environment. The two veterinarians and the whole staff make for a really talented crew of 'animal people'. We take all of our rescue dogs there but we take our personal dogs as well. We love and trust Ivan Animal Hospital very much. I was there just this afternoon when an emergency was called in and everyone shifted into high gear to be ready for the arrival of a severely injured dog. Kudos to all at Ivan Animal Hospital. We were looking for a new vet and went to Ivan on a recommendation from a friend. The vet techs and Dr. D. made us feel very comfortable, and Loki (my senior Pit Bull) was fascinated by the tortoise walking around the lobby. I was impressed that the good doc took the time to sit and chat with us about everything and nothing. I also appreciated the amount of info they took down about my girl, right down to her diet. Better to be overly informed than the opposite. Ivan Animal Hospital has our vote of confidence, and we will be going back in the future. Read Less

Dr. Ivan has been my vet since 2006 and I've followed her from another clinic to her own hospital. I truly believe she is the best person to take care of my senior Chihuahua. She knows and understands her personality and never holds it against her (or me!) when she's a cranky monster. She has evening and Saturday hours which are very convenient since I drive 30 miles each way to get there. She's worth every minute in the car though because I have the peace of mind that my dogs are getting the best care possible.Another great thing is that her prices are very affordable. She also does a lot of work with rescue groups which I think is very admirable and a great service to our community. She is an asset to the veterinary community and I urge anyone looking for a vet to give her a try. She is worth the drive! Read Less
