The Cornell Art Museum is calling artists for its newest exhibition, “Nature’s Palette: Art Inspired by the Earth”, a group exhibition exploring nature through captivating creative expressions drawing inspiration from the beauty of the natural world. In this exploration, artists define nature art, dive into its various techniques to uncover the profound impact art has on our connection with nature. It will showcase the vibrant nature surrounding us with a nod to environmental concerns.Here are the details: * Exhibition Dates: September 6, 2024 through February 2, 2025 * Curated by Marusca Gatto, Cultural Arts Director * Exhibition opens September 6, 2024 (6pm to 9pm) - Live music and refreshments, meet and greet artists* Exhibition will be installed in the upper level of the Cornell and on view through February 2, 2025 * Special events, art talks and art demonstrations by regional artists are planned * Applications must be submitted by August 4, 2024.* Application must include high-resolution images* Also must include a brief artist statement explaining the connection of your work to the themeSubmissions of artworks in various forms are encouraged, including but not limited to: painting, sculpture, photography, works on paper, installations, digital art and video, crafts and textiles.For more information, please email Marusca Gatto, mgatto@downtowndelraybeach.com

Art will be curated and artists notified of acceptance by August 7, 2024.

EXHIBITION TIMELINE:

Artwork to be delivered by: Saturday, August 31, 2024 (10 am to 4pm)

Installation Dates: Week of September 1, 2024

Exhibition Opening:Friday, September 6, 2024 (6pm to 9:00 pm)

Exhibition Closing: Sunday, February 2, 2025

By completing this application, artist/vendor acknowledges that they have read and understand the information provided and requirements for participation and agree to the terms herein.

INDEMNIFICATION AND HOLD HARMELESS AGREEMENT

By completing this application, Exhibitor shall indemnify, defend and save harmless to the extent of its insurance coverage, the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and its member entities which consist of the City of Delray Beach (CITY); Business agrees to defend, indemnify and save harmless the Indemnitees, their officers, agents and employees, against any liability arising from or based upon the violation of any federal, state, county or city laws, by-laws, ordinances or regulations, including but not limited Trademark and Copyright Laws by the Contractor, his subcontractors, agents, servants or employees. Business further agrees to defend, indemnify and save harmless the Indemnitees, their officers, agents, or employees from all such claims, fees, and from any and all suits and actions for every name and description that may be brought against the Indemnitees or their officers, agents or employees on account of any claims, fees, royalties, or costs for any invention or patent, and from any and all suits and actions that may be brought against the Indemnitees, their officers, agents or employees for the infringement of any and all patents or patent rights claimed by any person, firm, or corporation.

The indemnification provided above shall obligate the Business to defend, at his/her own expense or to provide for such defense, at the Indemnitees' option, any and all claims or liability and all suits and actions of every name and description that may be brought against the Indemnitees, their officers, agents, or employees which may result from the operations and activities under this Contract whether the work be performed by the Business, his/her subcontractor or by anyone directly or indirectly employed by either. This Indemnification and Hold Harmless Agreement include all costs and fees including attorney's fees and costs at trial and appellate levels.
